it’s hot ~so let’s take off our clothes

 Tom Jones is so hot on this record, I’m not sure where to begin.

Picture it. 1967. The Flamingo in Las Vegas! 

The Flamingo Las Vegas is a hotel casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada and is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment Corp.. The property offers a 77,000 sq ft (7,200 m²) casino along with 3,626 hotel rooms. The 15-acre (6.1 ha) site’s architectural theme is reminiscent of the Art Deco and Streamline Moderne style of Miami and South Beach, with a garden courtyard housing a wildlife habitat featuring flamingos. It was the third resort to open on the Strip, and the oldest resort on the Strip still in operation today. The Flamingo has a Las Vegas Monorail station at the rear of the property.

You couldn’t fit a dime in those pants, they are so tight. He is workshopping the ladies like nobodies business and man, i wish I had been there. I would have lost it. This live album is terrific with his commentary basically alluding to everyone get naked. Shamelessly screaming my head off and no doubt throwing my panties at him (if I hasn’t already thrown them at Elvis last week or  if I wore any in the 60’s. c’moooon.)     This vinyl is a keeper and a contender in the TOP 30 records of 2012 (though might get pushed out, we shall see). Let’s just go back to how hot he is. I get the man has probably got the heebie jeebies in his swim suit area (no offence lovers) but a girl can’t help but fall for him. I cranked the volume on first listen. I’ve never been to Vegas (it’s on the list for my 40th birthday…) but I imagine he represents the sexy side of the strip shows… or at least he did in 1967. smerk*

The Welsh, Sir Tom Jones is now a spry 71 years old. I’m also putting this in the dance and sauve gents category as well as the obvious Vegas Baby. I’ve got a few more Mr. Jones records to come this year so I’ll keep tonight’s post wee.  Here’s a vid of him in 1967 on Vegas but not this record.  and the same song 30 years later…  I was having some serious youtube issues ce soir, so I hope that worked.
