As it is Lovers & Duets month, today we bring you a special CASH album. Oh JUNE. If ever there was a love story, heh? Love notes to June — “the ring of fire still burns around you and I, keeping our love hotter than a pepper sprout”….. My husband and I did our Wedding Reception aka wedding number 2 in Alberta this time last year. After we finished the ceremony, we walked back down the isle to JACKSON ~hotter than a pepper sprout! lol.   also this one b/c the clarity of johnny & june is great!

Now the CARTER FAMILY ~ here they do Johnny’s I walk the Line but Anita’s arrangement of it.   A thorough reading of WIKI was confusing but I learned that this The Carter family was the second generation of the band. Their parents were all cousins and married and divorced etc.. Maybelle continued to perform with her daughters, Anita, June, and Helen, as “The Carter Sisters” (sometimes billed as “Maybelle Carter and the Carter Sisters” or “Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters”). Chet Atkins joined them playing electric guitar in 1949 until leaving in 1950.A.P., Sara, and their children Joe and Janette recorded some material in the 1950s. The Carter Sisters reclaimed the name The Carter Family for their act during the 1960s and 1970s. Maybelle and Sara briefly reunited, recorded a reunion album, and toured in the 1960s during the height of folk music‘s popularity.   In 1987, reunited sisters June Carter Cash and Helen and Anita Carter, along with June’s daughter Carlene Carter, appeared as the Carter Family and were featured on a 1987 television episode of Austin City Limits along with Johnny Cash.
