The dangerous bad boy of the 80s. Billy Idol. With a rebel yell we all cried more more more. My husband and myself shared equally naughty stories of our teenhood at the junior or highschool dances (and many really bad weddings to follow – but not ours) of yelling out “hey mother fucker get laid get fucked!“. That feels dirty to write and really makes no sense. The 80s were a hormone tormented time for us both and Billy held our hands through it all. Were you as addicted to MUCHMUSIC as I was? For the american readers out there – MUCHMUSIC is the Canadian equivalant to MTV. I love this album personally. Serious rock 80s top 40 on the A side and the B side is almost unlistenable with soft rock love ballads. On my handsome husband’s recommendation, this album makes it into the TOP 30 records of 2012!! It is for sure one we will pull out with company or completely embrass our children with. And likely giggle when the opportunity to yell the swears happens. Raise hell from Above! Rebel Yell is the second album by British punk rock artist Billy Idol, released in 1983. It was very successful with four singles on the U.S. Hot 100 charts, while the album reached #6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album charts. All of the singles, but particularly “Rebel Yell,” “Eyes Without a Face,” and “Flesh for Fantasy” were hit music videos on MTV.

An actual MTV music video with over 4 million hit son youtube and sponsored by Justin Beiber. That’s so wrong.

(and apologies again for mass emails today for my followers as I get back caught up to date -it’s raining now.)
