I like their name.  Spyro Gyra ~Incognito. This is some serious 1982 heavily synthesized  jazz instrumental business.  “This must be an album that Kenny G would list as one of his influences. I feel like any minute now one or another of the characters from CHIPS is going to come strolling in.” ~is my sweety’s review (thanks for that handsome).  This album came from my awesome  Mother in law (see her category Mommy Spins The Hits for more this year). Thanks Barb!

From this youtube video & wiki – not sure who copied whom but… ” Spyro Gyra is an American jazz fusion band originally formed in the mid-1970s in Buffalo, New York, USA. With over 25 albums released and 10 million copies sold, they are among the most prolific as well as commercially successful groups of the scene. Among their most successful hit singles are “Shaker Song” and “Morning Dance”, which received significant play on popular music radio stations, and are still frequently heard nearly 30 years later on jazz and easy listening stations. With the exception of alto saxophonist, songwriter & founding bandleader Jay Beckenstein and keyboardist Tom Schuman, the personnel has changed somewhat over time as well as between the studio and the live stage. This video clip was taken from the 2003 North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands.
