I can’t type fast enough ~ to tell you all that I scored an unopened plastic covered She’s So Unusual ~Cyndi Laurper album!! Actually my love found it at a thrift store in Victoria (the WIN ~ Womyn in Need), while I was scoring pottery from Haida Gwaii in another section of the store (post to follow on my other blog). So stoked to rip open the plastic. For a second I considered not and “collecting” it but that’s not what my record adventure is all about. I cranked it really loud when we got home from our holiday, as I unpacked. Every song is a hit. Every song is a series of only the fondest memories of my pre-highschool era. This was one of the first albums I owned. I wonder where it ever went.  80’s, I loved you.

So…. it’s a hits, a diva, dance, it’s not only IN my Top 30 records of 2012, it may in fact BE  the top  album cover art !!

What are your Cyndi Lauper memories?

The Goonies movie? Highschool dances? There were so few good red headed role models for me, growing up. She topped the list.

Not THE best video but with 11 million 1/2 views, I had to add this one..
