HAPPY JOHNNY CASH SUNDAY!
I don’t usually do this but I couldn’t find a verson of this that I liked on youtube. So here you go ~ a video of a turntable! How thrilling. Actually, it pans out to show you how I listen to records.
It’s an absolutely fabulous album. It seemed wobbly, like the needle wasn’t taking it so I put some rocks on the centre and voila! Perfect sound. The song I video’ed was about Rose Hall, a sugar cane plantation in jamaica. If you google it ~there’s lots of stories about it. I took notice of it when I was looking for a destination wedding for myself and my sweety in Jan. 2011. We ended up with a ten day dream wedding in Puerto Vallarta.. .then back in Alberta. but I digress. Anywho… Johnny Cash bought it up and then it got sold to the Hilton Hotel Franchise after he died. I think that’s how it went. Anyway, he spent a lot of family time there and it looks sensational and I really love this song!
