STEPPENWOLF. Meh. That’s my husband’s review. it was no born to be wild but it was a nice enough soundtrack to a sunny day puttering around the garden!
“It was solid classic rock. Unfortunately I don’t really care much about solid classic rock so it was lost on me. If I was at the concert I would be the drunk guy in the back yelling “PLAY BORN TO BE WILD. And they did not.” Today’s guest reviewer ~my Husband. thank-you love. I feel the same way. When I saw the album at the thrift store I had visions of one of my top 5 movies of all time EASY RIDER. But non.
A little Steppen :
The band has sold more than 25 million records worldwide,[citation needed] releasing eight gold albums and twelve Billboard Hot 100 singles of which six were Top 40 hits, including three Top 10 successes: “Born to Be Wild“, “Magic Carpet Ride“, and “Rock Me”. Steppenwolf enjoyed worldwide success from 1968 to 1974, but clashing personalities led to the end of the core lineup. Today, frontman John Kay is the only original member left, having served as lead singer for more than 40 years since 1967.
